Bilderberg and Polish affairs

There is not much spoken about the Polish attenders of the Bilderberg Group meetings. It is worth to remind that one of the Group’s initiators was Pole, Józef Hieronim Retinger. Włodzimierz Kalicki had written about him:

He influenced Polish affairs by taking Sikorski from capitulating France. He influenced Europe’s destiny and the Atlantic alliance by his work on organizing the Congress in Hague and Bilderberg Group.

Until the year 1989 it was hard to meet the representation of Polish People’s Republic, it had changed after the Third Polish Republic was established. Many prominent politicians and businessmen were closely connected with the group. The best known participant is Andrzej Olechowski, who attended the meetings since 1994. Between the other participants we can find:

Hanna Suchocka – former Polish prime minister - 1998
Sławomir Sikora – chairman of Polish branch of Citibank – 2004
Jacek Szwajcowski – 2005 (Polish Farmacy Group)

What is most interesting since the 2008 when former Polish president Aleksander Kwasniewski was attending the Bilderberg meeting there was none of Polish participants. Actually we can notice that the are less people from “our” part of Europe. What can this mean? There are few assumptions. It is possible that the region of Central-Eastern Europe had lost its meaning and “our” representatives are not invited anymore, or the allies had changed and people who now came to power are playing for another team. Then comes another question, for which?
