"The Hum" - new theories about what the "strange noises" are

It seems that even the mainstream media started to notice the news about so-called "strange noises". On Daily Mail website they have linked a record from Germany where we can notice that the sound had made the car alarm turned on!

This is what newspaper's journalist Ted Thornhill had found out:

  • prof. Jean-Pierre St. Maurice from University of Saskatchewan claims that the main cause of the sounds is electromagnetic field from auroras,
  • according to seismologist Brian W Stump from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, earthquakes can also be the source of these sounds,
  • David Deming from the University of Oklahoma had named these phenomenon "The Hun" and defined it as "a mysterious and untraceable sound that is heard in certain locations around the world by two to ten per cent of the population"
  • according to NASA whole phenomenon can be explained by the fact, that the Earth has natural radio emissions’

Even if it is happenning of natural causes, why are they being heard now and were not heard in the past?
